This tour focuses on searching for animals in their natural habitat, experiencing the rainforest as fully as possible, and learning about the jungle’s intricate ecosystems.

We’ll pick you up from your hotel early in the morning in a private van, and travel through the Andes Mountains. Breakfast is in the charming town of Paucartambo. You can enjoy a hot drink, eggs, pancakes, juice, and more.
The trip will continue into the Cloud Forest, where the scenery and climate change quickly. In the Cloud Forest, there will be chances to explore and look for wild animals like monkeys and birds, including the bright-red Andean Cock of the Rock.
In the late afternoon, we’ll arrive at our first lodge for dinner and some time to relax.
After dinner, we have the option to go on a night walk to look for creepy crawlies before falling asleep to the music of the jungle.
The day will start with a hearty breakfast in the lodge before heading deeper into the jungle. We will stop at a Hummingbird scantuary before embarking on the boat in Atalaya. The trip down the Madre de Dios River is a beautiful way to enjoy the jungle. Along the way, we’ll be on the lookout for animals on the riverbanks, such as water birds and capybara.
In the late morning, we’ll visit a local hot spring, and enjoy lunch on the boat afterward. After a couple more hours, we’ll arrive close to Nuevo Eden and walk from the riverbank to the lodge, where you’ll have some time to relax.
In the late afternoon, we’ll set off to the camouflage house overlooking a clay lick. It is a tall platform with a roof and railings for 1 night to enjoy being outdoors overnight, looking out for tapirs and other mammals visiting the clay lick for a midnight snack. We will bring a “picnic dinner” and enjoy a 360-degree experience sleeping in the jungle. You will be provided with mosquito nets and a mattress, you will need a sleeping bag* and a camping pillow.

We’ll head back to the Bungalow early in the morning for breakfast and prepare to explore the jungle. Your guide will lead you on a nature hike, spending a few hours searching for wildlife and learning about the rainforest.
Lunch will be waiting for you in the Bungalow after your hike, and you’ll have some time to relax and swim in the nearby creek.
In the afternoon, you’ll walk to see the local birds at their most active time of day, just before sunset. Once the daylight is gone, your guide will scope out insects, frogs, and snakes and lead you on a night walk. We’ll enjoy a special jungle-themed dinner in the Bungalow.
You’ll embark on the boat early in the morning to enjoy sunrise and breakfast on the river, retracing your steps to return to Cusco, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel around dinner time.
