On this tour you’ll leave your comfort zone behind and prepare for an amazing trek deep into the jungle. Featuring three nights of camping and exploration in the rainforest, this tour is perfect for the adventure-seeker.
Traveling by boat on the river, swimming in the hot springs, hiking deep into the jungle, camping in the jungle, swimming in a pristine stream, fishing, sleep in the camoflauge house.
We’ll pick you up from your hotel early in the morning in a private van, and travel through the Andes Mountains. Breakfast is in the charming town of Paucartambo. You can enjoy a hot drink, eggs, pancakes, juice, and more. Breakfast isn’t included in the price of the tour.
The trip will continue into the Cloud Forest, where the scenery and climate change quickly. In the Cloud Forest, there will be chances to explore and look for wild animals like monkeys and birds, including the bright-red Andean Cock of the Rock. In the late afternoon, we’ll arrive at our lodge near Patria for dinner and some time to relax.
After breakfast, we continue by vehicle to a prime wildlife observation point, where you may spot hummingbirds and monkeys in their natural habitat.
We then travel to Atalaya Port and board a motorized boat, navigating downriver into the Amazon Basin. After approximately 1.5 hours, we reach natural hot springs where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Continuing by boat, we arrive at our lodge in Nuevo Edén. In the afternoon, the real jungle adventure begins as we head to the Camouflage House, a rustic shelter deep in the rainforest.
Here, we quietly wait for the possibility of spotting a tapir that occasionally visits at night. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, that’s the magic of the wild.

Wake up to the sounds of the rainforest. After breakfast, we pack up and hike deeper into the jungle with our expert guide.
After several hours of exploration, we reach our remote campsite, set up camp, and enjoy lunch surrounded by pristine wilderness.
In the afternoon, your guide will teach jungle survival techniques, including identifying medicinal plants and essential survival skills. You will also have the opportunity to try to catch fish.
As night falls, we gather around a small campfire and enjoy dinner under the Amazon sky.
After an unforgettable night in the rainforest, we hike back toward the lodge, continuing to observe flora and fauna along the way.
We arrive at the lodge for lunch and some well-deserved rest.
In the evening, we head out on a guided night walk to search for frogs, insects, spiders, and other fascinating nocturnal creatures. Dinner at the lodge.
After breakfast, we visit a local cacao plantation while continuing to search for toucans, macaws, and monkeys.
We then return to the lodge to prepare for departure and walk to the river to board our boat once again. We travel upriver for approximately 3–4 hours.
In the afternoon, we visit Machu Wasi Lake, a small oxbow lake where you may observe caimans and many species of birds. You will have the opportunity to explore the lake on traditional rafts.
Afterward, we head to our riverside campsite, where we sleep in tents. You will have the chance to swim in the river (conditions permitting) and enjoy a campfire in the evening.
Early in the morning, we visit a nearby parrot clay lick along the Alto Madre de Dios River, where colorful parrots gather in an unforgettable natural spectacle.
We then return to the campsite for breakfast before preparing for our return journey to Cusco.
Lunch will be provided along the way, and we arrive in Cusco in the afternoon, where you will be dropped off at your hotel. Final dinner is not included.
